"Down-u, Daddy!" This was a command for Daddy to sit down on the floor and play with her -- NOW. (It was obeyed.)

Aunt Tuq (Robin) trimmed a small lock of hair from her bangs. (It was starting to get into her face.)

In blue-green, right by the front door. She expertly used the texture of the wall to bring the blue-green turtle shell to life!

She stopped treating the crayons like cigars and drew with one! Captured on video, naturally.

Running

She practiced running from the couch to the dinner table, over and over, getting faster and faster! Oh boy!

First Day with NO bottle or formula!

She slept 12 hours, straight through her early morning bottle.

First Adult Cup

She took an adult cup up to the water cooler, wanting it filled (she tried banging the cup against the cooler). Sarah put some water in the cup for her, and then Rachel took the cup and drank from it!

First Kiss

Was it her loving Mother??? Was it her doting Father??? NO! It was her @$%*&! stuffed turtle from Aunt Lucy!

She smacked her Daddy with a sippy cup, and gave him a cut below the eye. He forgave her quickly.

First Baseball Game!

Giants 3, Rockies 2. She wore her Rockies cheerleader outfit, but clapped whenever everybody else clapped (i.e. for the Giants). She loved all the people. She stayed awake the whole game (past 11)!

The Incline Railway up Lookout Mountain in Chatanooga. It's the steepest passenger rail in the world -- an incline of 72 degrees!

The Birmingham Zoo. The highlight was seeing a bald eagle pair, with the female sitting on TWO EGGS! The zoo has previously released 3 eagles to the wild.

Nice flexible white sneakers. Very easy to stand up and move around in.

At a playgroup 2 days earlier she had really liked the baby dolls, so we went out and got her one. Right away she smiled at it, hugged it, and she talked to it all the way home! SO CUTE!!! Later she said her fifth word!

We hold the cup, she sips, and then THROWS her head back and sucks the liquid in. Very cute!
